VK0/H - Heard Island : Club Log support staffed by volunteers

The May, 1949 issue of QST announces the addition of Heard Island to the DXCC list. QST says: "We are pleased to announce the addition of one more country to the list: Heard Island, VK1". VK1 was the prefix for Australian Antarctic stations until it was re-assigned to stations in Australian Capital Territory on 1956-06-01. See VK1, VK9, VK0 prefixes.

QSOs count for Heard I from 1945-11-15.

Heard I is a whitelisted DXCC entity. The following table lists stations known to have been QRV from Heard I, and which are thought to be good for DXCC credit.

The callsigns below are the only ones that Club Log will map to Heard I, and only for QSO dates within the exception date range. These callsigns have been taken from QSL cards and other sources.

Callsigns not listed below, or QSOs outside the exception date range, will be not be mapped to Heard I, but will be mapped as INVALID.
