The Republic of the Union of Myanmar, aka Burma, has been on the DXCC list since 1945. QSOs count for Myanmar from 1945-11-15. Myanmar became independent from the United Kingdom on 1948-01-04. Myanmar has been under military control since a coup d'état on 1962-03-02. There followed a period of approximately 30 years when there were no new authorised amateur radio operations from Myanmar, although some existing callsigns continued to be QRV until 1965.
Myanmar is a whitelisted DXCC entity, currently for QSOs on or after 1966-01-01. The following table lists stations known to have been QRV from Myanmar, and which are thought to be good for DXCC credit.
The callsigns below are the only ones in the whitelist period that Club Log will map to Myanmar, and only for QSO dates within the exception date range. These callsigns have been taken from QSL cards and other sources.
Callsigns in the whitelist period that are not listed below, or QSOs outside the exception date range, will be not be mapped to Myanmar, but will be mapped as INVALID.
Please advise any missing Myanmar callsigns, to Alan, 5B4AHJ, email address on QRZ.COM, or via the Help Desk.
