The August, 1979 issue of QST announces the addition of Desecheo Island to the DXCC list. QST says: "Upon the recommendation of the DXAC, the island of Desecheo is hereby accepted for country status."
QST also says "All contacts with Deseceho made after March 1, 1979, will be credited <snip>" .
Desecheo Island is a whitelisted DXCC entity. The following table lists stations known to have been QRV from Desecheo I, and are thought to be good for DXCC credit.
The callsigns below are the only ones that Club Log will map to Desecheo I. These callsigns have been taken from QSL cards.
Where the callsign is not unambiguously stated on the QSL card, Club Log will accept alternatives, which are listed in parentheses below.
For example, KP2A/KP5 and KP2A will be accepted for the June, 1981 operation.
Callsigns not listed below will be not be mapped to Desecheo I. For example, KP5/K5D (correct call K5D) will be mapped to INVALID.
