The November, 1954 issue of QST announces the addition of Navassa Island to the DXCC list. QST says "This island is a United States possession located approximately 35 miles due west of Haiti, 80 miles due east northeast of Jamaica and 110 miles due south of Caimanera, Cuba".

QST also says "DXCC credit will be given <snip> for creditable confirmations dated on or after November 15, 1945."

Initially, KC4 was the prefix for Navassa. The first operation from Navassa I, in the post-WWII period, was KC4AB, ops W4VZQ, W4QCW &  WN4HBC, in 1954.

The prefix for  Navassa I later became KP1. The first operation with the KP1 prefix was the multi-operator DXpedition that signed N0TG/KP1  and W0RJU/KP1  in November/December, 1978.

Navassa Island is a whitelisted DXCC entity. The following table lists stations known to have been QRV from Navassa I, and are thought to be good for DXCC credit.

The callsigns below are the only ones that Club Log will map to Navassa I. These callsigns have been taken from QSL cards.

Callsigns not listed below will be not be mapped to Navassa I. For example,  KC4AF/KP1 (correct call KC4AF) will be mapped to INVALID.

Please advise any missing Navassa callsigns, to Alan, 5B4AHJ, email address on QRZ.COM, or via the Help Desk .
