QSOs on and after 1960-06-25 count for the entitythe DXCC entity of Juan de Nova Europa, which comprises the islands of Europa, AF-009, Bassas da India and Juan de Nova, AF-012.

History

Bassas da India, Europa and Juan de Nova Islands became French possessions in October 1897 and have been directly governed by France since 1960-04-01.


From 1960 until 2007 Les  Îles Eparses, which includes Europa & Juan de Nova, were administered by the prefecture of Réunion, under the authority of the Minister responsible for overseas territories.During that period Reunion callsigns were used, appended with /E for Europa and /J for Juan de Nova. Since 2007-02-21, Les îles Eparses have been administered by TAAF, and the callsigns are now of the form FT#E & FT#J.


Whitelisting

Juan de Nova Europa  is a whitelisted DXCC entity. The following table lists stations known to have been QRV from Juan de Nova Europa, and which are thought to be good for DXCC credit.

The callsigns below are the only ones that Club Log will map to Glorioso Island, and only for QSO dates within the exception date range. These callsigns have been taken from QSL cards and other sources.

Callsigns that are not listed below, or QSOs outside the exception date range, will be not be mapped to Juan de Nova Europa, but will be mapped as INVALID.
