Understanding what happens when you request a card
Club Log Online QSL Requests (OQRS) are only one step in the chain of events that leads to a QSL card being posted.
The part that Club Log takes care of is the online ordering step, where your QSOs are verified as being "in the log" and then you go through a checkout to pay for them in PayPal. After that step, other people are involved and it is essentially no longer something Club Log is doing. In particular, we do not print or post cards and we never handle the money side of your PayPal transaction.
Who prints and posts my QSL card?
Posting of your card is one of the QSL manager's duties. The QSL manager is the person who receives your payment and works on processing your request. After the payment stage, your request is placed in a queue for the QSL manager. They can use features Club Log provides to help them manage printing labels and envelopes efficiently.
Since Club Log is not involved, it's not possible for the helpdesk to give you news or updates on the likely delivery of your card. We can't help you track down missing QSL cards, for the same reason.
Who to contact?
When you make a transaction with Club Log OQRS, you'll get a receipt email (one from PayPal and one from Club Log). This contains the DX QSL manager's email address. You can also get their email address from the OQRS > Outbound menu in Club Log (top of the page).
Patience is important since QSL managers are often on the receiving end of a lot of correspondence.
What if I have a dispute?
Most direct QSL requests are completed successfully within 6 months. If you have a serious issue with a card not arriving you haven't been able to resolve it yourself by emailing the QSL manager, then you might want to consider raising a dispute via PayPal for goods paid for and not received.
Please be aware that there isn't anything Club Log helpdesk staff can do to help, and we will not be able to get involved in your complaint or in any way trigger a refund. This is because we never handle any of the funds ourselves (they go directly to PayPal).
