TAAF, aka Terres Australes et Antarctiques Françaises, is an overseas territory of France, created 1955-08-06. Until 2007, TAAF was comprised of Adelie Land (Antarctica), Crozet I, Kerguelen, Amsterdam I &  Saint-Paul I. France also administered these islands prior to 1955-08-06. In 2007, Europa I, Glorioso Is, Juan de Nova I, Tromelin I and Bassas da India also became part of TAAF. This article is restricted to Adelie Land, Crozet I, Kerguelen, Amsterdam I &  Saint-Paul I.

DXCC History

Antarctica has been a DXCC entity since 1945-11-15.

Crozet was added to the DXCC list in 1964 (QST April, 1964), but QSOs count from 1945-11-15.

Kerguelen has been a DXCC entity since 1945-11-15.

Amsterdam & St Paul Islands were originally grouped with Kerguelen (QST November, 1950). In 1951, ARRL announced that Amsterdam & St. Paul Is would, in fact, be counted as a separate DXCC entity (QST April, 1951). QSOs count from 1945-11-15.
