The Club Log Mobile app will be available in the Apple App Store in August 2026. It is currently in beta testing and is not generally available yet.
Club Log Mobile needs a Club Log account with at least one registered callsign. You can sign in without a callsign, but the app will tell you that no log is available. Most tools need an internet connection. A few screens, including Prefixes and some progress charts, can show data from your last online session when you are offline. The app runs on iOS 17 or later on iPhone and iPad.
Signing in
Open the app and enter your Club Log email or callsign and your password. If your account uses two-factor authentication, enter the code when prompted. Links to reset your password or create an account open the Club Log website inside the app. After your first sign-in you can turn on Face ID or Touch ID in Settings so the app asks for biometric unlock when you open it.
Finding your way around
On iPhone the bottom of the screen shows four tools you choose yourself, plus a fifth More tab that is always there. The default four are DX Dash, Live Alerts, DX Cluster, and Live Bands. You can change them in Settings under Customize Tabs: pick exactly four from the full list of seventeen tools. If you already have four selected and tap another, the app drops the first one in the list to make room. Anything not on the tab bar lives under More, grouped the same way as on iPad. Pull down on most lists to refresh.
On iPad every tool appears in the left sidebar. DX Dash, Check, and Live Alerts sit at the top. Below them come Live Now (DX Cluster, Live Bands, Livestreams), Your Log (Logbook, DXCC Charts, CQ Zones, Log Matching, Timelines, Grid Squares, Prefixes, Leagues), and Tools (Propagation, Most Wanted, OQRS, Expeditions). Settings and About are at the bottom. Tap a row to open it in the detail pane on the right. iPad does not use tab customization; the sidebar always shows everything.
Working with one callsign at a time
The app works on a single active callsign at once. That callsign is marked Active in Settings under Callsigns. To switch, open Settings, tap another callsign, and confirm in the dialog. Every screen reloads for the new callsign, which may take a few seconds; the row you chose shows a spinner until your data has loaded.
When you have no connection
In airplane mode or anywhere without a usable network, screens that need the internet show Device offline rather than spinning indefinitely. Pull to refresh waits until you are back online. Live feeds in DX Cluster and Live Bands pause when you leave the tab or send the app to the background. Your Logbook still shows QSOs saved on the phone, but sync is disabled until you reconnect. Prefixes works offline after you have opened it once while online. Brief WiFi or cellular handovers may not trigger the offline message immediately; the app waits a few seconds before showing a persistent offline state.
Language and notifications
Settings → Language sets the interface language (twenty-two languages plus System). Ham-radio terminology stays in English regardless of that choice, as noted in Settings.
If you allow notifications when iOS asks, Club Log Mobile can deliver alert pushes. Tapping a notification opens Live Alerts, where the gear icon leads to Alert Settings for choosing what you receive.
