Check tool

Check is the lookup tool for the active callsign. Type a callsign - or part of an entity name - into the search field and Check answers the two questions that matter on the radio: do I need this station’s country, and am I in their log?

Callsign lookups

When you search a callsign, Check resolves it to its DXCC entity and shows the details that matter for the contact: the entity and continent, the station’s location with distance and bearing, sunrise and sunset there, any CQ zone exceptions with their valid dates, and the operator’s Club Log presence - how many QSOs their log holds, whether they are in LoTW, and an Expedition Charts link when the callsign is a listed expedition. The Lookup at picker above the results pins a past or future date and time, because resolution can change over time (dxpedition exceptions, callsign changes). Where a path looks worth trying, a View propagation link opens Propagation for that source and destination.

Every callsign lookup also checks that station’s hosted Club Log log for your callsign automatically, and the answer leads the page: You’re in the log with the total QSO count and a band-by-mode table of every contact they logged with you, shaded by volume - or No QSOs found, so a quiet log is an answer, not an absence. When the log holds many duplicates, a note warns that its data quality may be affected. Where the station offers OQRS, a Request QSL Card button opens clublog.org.

Entity lookups

Search an entity by name instead and Check lists the matching countries; tap one for the full band-by-band breakdown for your active callsign, coloured by QSL status - not worked, worked, confirmed, or verified - using the same colours as the Club Log website. Tap through for your need status per band and mode.

Bands you have turned off in Settings → Bands do not appear. While loading you see a spinner; if something goes wrong while you are online, an error with retry appears. Offline, search can still use the entity list from your last online session if one is available.

Check is the static counterpart to the live feeds. Use Live Bands to see live activity filtered by what you need, DX Report for what has been rare and active this week, or Prefixes to resolve an unfamiliar prefix to an entity.
